We hold special services to mark the most important moments of life — birth, marriage, and loss — and we'd be honoured to help you mark yours.
Baptisms
A dedication or thanksgiving service gives thanks to God for the birth of a child, without making promises — suitable whether or not you're a churchgoer. Baptism is a deeper step, a public commitment to follow Jesus, made by an adult or on behalf of a child by their parents.

Contact the parish officeWeddings
The initial contact for a wedding is normally the Vicar or Parish Office. You'll be asked to complete a form providing the information needed to comply with the law — if you're unsure whether you can be married here, please just ask. The Vicar will then meet with you to plan the service and prepare you for marriage, usually over a number of meetings.

The death of a loved one is one of the most traumatic moments for those left behind. For a Christian, though, death is a parting, not an ending — each funeral is as much a thanksgiving for a life as it is the commending of a soul into God's hands. We'll work with you to develop a service that pays tribute to your loved one and supports those who are grieving.
We hold an annual service on the Sunday nearest to November 2nd, when the lives of all the departed are remembered by name. Kington also hosts a "Light Up a Life" service for St Michael's Hospice, Bartestree, in early December — both services offer the chance to light a candle in memory of someone you've lost. Kington and Old Radnor churches both keep Books of Remembrance for the departed.
